This is in response to Missus Jennifer Franks,[I cannot exit my
downtown home through the designated main door, because there is a
bench there frequented by up to four homeless people at a time,
drinking beer, smoking and dancing to imaginary music as a result of
their recent drug intakes. I hope your writer's next article is about
the steps he has taken to help their cause, and not about the failures
of society and the brutality of our police force.

The City of San Diego continues to expand its human rights assults against the homeless as 3 politicians join the war wagon. City Council members and the City Attorney are escalating San Diego's War on the Homeless.
Two new fronts were recently opened on the city's ongoing persecution of the homeless. San Diego police officers from the Eastern Division, with shock troops from the downtown precincts, joined city bureaucrats, probably armed with box cutters, who invaded the San Diego riverbed area, south of Mission Valley to hunt down poor human beings like wild animals.

City Council members, City Attorney, Escalate San Diego's War on the Homeless
Two new fronts were recently opened on the city's ongoing persecution of the homeless.
San Diego police officers from the Eastern Division, with shock troops from the downtown precincts, joined city bureaucrats, probably armed with box cutters, who invaded the San Diego riverbed area, south of Mission Valley to hunt down poor human beings like wild animals.
The April 21st attack was led by City Attorney, Michael Aguirre, who's pathological need for publicity and exposure has led him to shift his attention from an incompetent mayor, brain-dead council and dysfunctional city manager, to join the human rights abuses and class cleansing of downtown by expanding the perimeter of operations to include the riverbed and surrounding canyons.
Meanwhile, Councilpersons Michael Zuccet and Scott Peters shot themselves in the foot by attempting to target the homeless. Their proposal, outlined at the City Council's Land Use and Housing Committee meeting April 20th, to limit RV parking on city streets to 4 hours drew almost a thousand protesters.
Drawing the ire of working-class folks who don't have large lots to park rv's and spokespersons for the rv industry, dealers and rv clubs, Peters fumbled with explanations for the proposed ordinance.
Several courageous homeless folks stood before the crowd; most homeowners, some with quarter of a million dollar motor homes, and articulated the true thrust of this class-based legislation. Paula Jones, who works and lives in a motor home, asked the council committee. "Where are we supposed to go.?" While, John Adams, who also works but said his wages won't pay for an apartment, said, "If you don't want people living in their vehicles on city streets, create a special parking area that is safe." He said he didn't consider himself homeless, just in "alternative housing."
Councilman Zuccet, who is not a member of Land Use and Housing Committee, began testimony on the proposed ordinance by saying that the present 72 hour ordinance is not working, unenforceable, so we need to shift to just 4 hours. Huh, duh? Let's hope he does better at his criminal trial. Peters, first limited, then cut the amount of speaking time, thus effectively keeping homeless advocates from pointing out that this was but another attempt to give the police expanded tools and weapons against human beings sleeping.
The City of San Diego has continued to expand and intensify its war on the homeless. From hammering public feeding programs, to zoning restrictions and pressure from redevelopment agencies on non-profit social service agencies, to outright harassment and beatings by police officers; the homeless are being driven out of downtown, tared and feathered with the internalized hatred of those developers, condo buyers and council member politians, who's greed makes them fear so much.
The police department has pretty much been given free rein to conduct a terror campaign, aware that human rights abuses are encouraged by merchants and ignored by the media.
Just before the new year, an army of police officers swept through the riverbed, ensnaring over 200 people. Ed Hanson said he witnessed the assaults, where police beat and forcibly removed people from their encampments.
Meanwhile, the San Diego Union-Tribune, ever a supporter of gentrification not matter the human cost and who's reporters were ordered to stay away from the April 15th homeless rights rally of almost 500 people at the Concourse, ran a story April 22, on how social service agencies downtown were "considering" taking advantage of rising land values to relocate. The story ignored the pressure of the Center City Development Corporations, wealthy developers and condo owners associations to attack homeless services. Moving against the Interfaith Coalition for the Homeless's feeding program at 14th and Broadway last year, then attacking it when it was moved to the Salvation Army; there is a concerted effort to starve human beings as public policy. The Rescue Mission also had to drop its feeding program for single men and other food providers downtown are under the gun with conditional use permit threats; while others propose actual prohibitions on lines.
Police have also stepped up their harassment and ticketing of homeless folks for sleeping. In 1994, when statistics first began to be collected, there were a little over two hundred tickets handed out, while today "illegal lodging" tickets are averaging 1500 a year.
A group of human rights activists, led by Quakers from the La Jolla and San Diego Meetings, have said that this war on the homeless will not continue. They plan to begin by badgering the city council, reminding them each Tuesday before they meet (during public comment and passing out fliers on the Concourse) that "what we do to the least of these among us" reflects who we are, not only as a culture, but as individuals; that without love, compassion and help for our fellow human beings we are but another bug sloshing through the mud.
They need your help. Volunteer a couple of hours on a Tuesday morning, any Tuesday morning. The group promises to be there until the human rights abuses against the homeless in San Diego ceases.

I saw LIGHTS shine upon my domicile...and a VOICE commanding "You in the tent; ACHTUNG! Come OUT with your HANDS in front!" (The SS/Gestapo had Discovered ANOTHER hiding JEW!) Upon my exit, Lo & Behold! MILITARY TROOPS! In FULL Battle Gear! Flak Suits! A Squadrion of MARINES? NO! The "River Patrol!" I can say, We Little Old Men must be Very Dangerious Fellers....to warrent a SWAT Team! There you have it! The English bourgeoisie is charitable out of
self-interest; it gives nothing outright, but regards its gifts as a
business matter, makes a bargain with the poor, saying: "If I spend
this much upon benevolent institutions, I thereby purchase the right
not to be troubled any further, and you are bound thereby to stay in
your dusky holes and not to irritate my tender nerves by exposing your
misery. You shall despair as before, but you shall despair unseen,
this I require, this I purchase with my subscription of twenty pounds
for the infirmary!" It is infamous, this charity of a Christian
bourgeois! And so writes "A Lady"; she does well to sign herself such,
well that she has lost the courage to call herself a woman! But if the
"Ladies" are such as this, what must the "Gentlemen" be? It will be
said that this is a single case; but no, the foregoing letter
expresses the temper of the great majority of the English bourgeoisie,
or the editor would not have accepted it, and some reply would have
been made to it, which I watched for in vain in the succeeding
numbers. And as to the efficiency of this philanthropy, Canon
Parkinson himself says that the poor are relieved much more by the
poor than by the bourgeoisie; and such relief given by an honest
proletarian who knows himself what it is to be hungry, for whom
sharing his scanty meal is really a sacrifice, but a sacrifice borne
with pleasure, such help has a wholly different ring to it from the
carelessly-tossed alms of the luxurious bourgeois.
We have the SAME EFFITE SNOBS today...their Hideous "QUALITY OF LIFE" Laws. They are RICH Piggies, Goyim Swine, and they CANNOT ABIDE to SEE, SMELL or be Pan Handled by VERMIN such as We Are!
